My Education
My educational background includes an Associate of Arts in General Education from community college, a Bachelor of Arts in History from Jacksonville University, a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from the University of Florida, and Post Graduate work in Constitutional Law and in Comparative World Religions, both from the University of Florida. I also have vocational training in Emergency Medical Technology as a State Certified EMT and Paramedic.
My Theological Background
I served as Senior Pastor for two churches during my 39 years of Ministry. My first church was in a metropolitan area where I served for five years. My second church was in a rural community where i served from 1981 until I retired from the Pastoral ministry in 2014.
Life as a First Responder
I spent ten years riding in Rescue units as the attending Paramedic, during which I managed to help give birth to two patients, events I consider to be high points in my experience. I also served as Director of Ems and Fire services for five years in one county wide system and four years as Director of EMS, Fire, and 911 Services in another metro area.
Life as an Educator
One of my greatest challenges was teaching History, Geography, and Economics in the public school system for sixteen years, with most of this time spent teaching the At Risk or Drop Out Prevention student population. I also spent twelve years in the Administration of a high school with 2000 teenagers, where my primary duty was to handle the discipline issues.
During this time, I coached high school football for five years and helped take the teams to both District and Regional playoff games.
Being an avid weightlifter since my youth, I had the pleasure to coach competitive high school weightlifting for eight years. In those eight years, I took teams to the state competitions, having my athletes score as high as second in the state.
Becoming an Author
Although I have retired from all vocations, nonetheless I have opened a new chapter in my life by publishing novels in the "Eveline" series and biblical exegeses in the "Getting To Know" series.
